Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali could be involved in Saturday’s Premier League clash with Wolves despite being handed a 10-month ban lodibet
The Italian lodibet Football Federation (FIGC) confirmed on Thursday that the 23-year-old had been suspended until next season after agreeing a plea bargain as part of an investigation into illegal lodibet betting activity lodibet
However, Newcastle say they are yet to be officially informed of the ban, which is yet to be ratified by world governing body Fifa and, as it stands, the £55m summer signing from AC Milan was due to travel to the Midlands on Friday afternoon with the rest of the squad lodibet
Magpies head coach Eddie Howe said: “It’s a difficult one because we haven’t had official confirmation as a lodibet football club yet lodibet
“We’ve heard the news, the statement, but we haven’t had anything from the Italian authorities at the moment, so we’re in limbo, really, waiting for that official confirmation to come through lodibet
”Asked if there was a chance the Italy international could be involved at Molineux, Howe added: “Yes, I think there’s a high chance again that he could be available for us lodibet
“I still think there are a few things that have to happen before the ban is imposed, so let’s see lodibet
”I think there's a high chance again that he could be available for usEddie Howe on Sandro TonaliThe Italy international was also fined 20,000 euros and will have to undergo eight months of therapy as well as carrying out a series of public appearances lodibet
Tonali found himself at the centre of a probe during this month’s international break into breaches of lodibet betting rules and was alleged to have wagered on games involving former clubs Brescia and Milan during his spells with them lodibet
Agent Giuseppe Riso has claimed Tonali is living with a “gambling addiction” and the Magpies have vowed to support him as he attempts to deal with that, but as it stands he remains available for selection at a time when Howe’s midfield resources have been depleted by a back injury which will sideline Elliot Anderson for eight weeks, while Jacob Murphy is awaiting a verdict on the shoulder he dislocated against Dortmund lodibet
(Getty Images)The Magpies boss, who will be without striker Alexander Isak following a recurrence of a groin problem, said: “At the moment, he’s travelling with us lodibet
We’re preparing as if he’s fit and available to play lodibet
”In the longer term, Howe knows Tonali faces a difficult spell on the sidelines – the club does not yet know whether he will be able to train with his team-mates – and one which will have to be carefully managed lodibet
He said: “Certainly with Sandro’s situation, if he is ultimately banned for that length of time, he’s going to have really difficult moments within that timeframe, a lot of attention on him initially, and that’s a difficult situation for him lodibet
“But then no doubt there’ll be a period where it’s just training – wherever he trains – and no game, and that’s very difficult for any player to adjust to, especially when they’re fit and able to play, so that’s going to be a difficult one lodibet
“The communication lodibet between us, me and my coaching staff and him, is going to be hugely important lodibet

With the weekend’s action wrapped, Fantasy Premier League managers will be reflecting upon another week of either frustration or elation after some dramatic late finishes and plenty of eye-catching performances lodibet
As the Premier League enters its 10th week, FPL managers may be looking to ring the changes as fixture swings occur and new in-form teams emerge lodibet
Whether you are looking to just tinker with one or two changes or are planning a number of wholesale changes, here are five players we think you should keep an eye out for ahead of gameweek 10 lodibet
Phil Foden - Manchester City, midfield (7 lodibet
6 m)The Manchester City winger has often been an unreliable FPL asset due to his lack of regular starts lodibet
Riyad Mahrez’s departure for the Saudi Pro League has now cleared the way for Foden who has started all but one of City’s league games this season lodibet
Returns thus far haven’t been plentiful (1G, 3A) and his ownership has dropped as a result, but after a promising display for England in the international break and a much-needed win for City against Brighton at the weekend, the 23-year-old may offer something of a differential pick if you’re looking to make up some ground on mini-league rivals lodibet
Kieran Trippier - Newcastle, defender (6 lodibet
9 m)After a tough run of fixtures at the start of the season, Newcastle are unbeaten in five and back in full flow lodibet
Trippier has been the fulcrum of their recent improved performances, with his six assists in his last four games seeing him rise to the top of the points list for defenders lodibet
A trickier set of fixtures are on the horizon, but with games against Wolves and Bournemouth mixed in, the experienced right-back should be at the forefront of many people’s plans if they are looking for a premium defensive asset lodibet
(AP)Alisson - Liverpool, goalkeeper (5 lodibet
5 m)Going big on keepers is not something many FPL managers see as a necessity but with Liverpool’s good run of fixtures coming up, spending that little bit more to bring in Alisson could be a rewarding transfer lodibet
Jurgen Klopp’s side restricted Everton to just 0 lodibet
09 xG in their 2-0 derby win on Saturday and have fixtures against Nottingham Forest, Luton Town and Fulham in their next five lodibet
Ezri Konsa - Aston Villa, defeder (4 lodibet
5 m)Aston Villa’s statement 4-1 win over West Ham on Sunday continued their superb start to the season as they extended their unbeaten run to six games and remain just one point off the top four lodibet
Defensively, they were a tad unfortunate to not keep a clean sheet, with Jarrod Bowen’s heavily deflected strike somehow finding the bottom corner from long range lodibet
With fixtures against Luton, Forest and Fulham in their next three, defensive returns are a high likelihood and Ezri Konsa looks to offer some value at just 4 lodibet
5m lodibet
The centre-back picked up an assist against the Hammers and also has two bonus points in his last four games lodibet
Neal Maupay - Brentford, forward (4 lodibet
9 m)There was a time not too long ago when few, if any, FPL users would have looked at Maupay with a transfer in mind lodibet
But fresh off an assist in his first start back at Brentford, the Frenchman could be a player rejuvenated lodibet
It remains early days but as a potential rotation option, Maupay could offer something different if you are looking to make room for a more expensive player elsewhere lodibet
